Yes, I think we definitely should have some different categories. Just 
because the market is so small I don't think the usual categories like 
best sports game, best FPS game, etc would work because there are so few 
of each category. On the other hand your point of comparing Bopit to 
Rail Racer is very valid, and sometimes it is hard to pick between two 
good games that are in two different genres.
I think the best way to do this is create generic categories that would 
apply to all the genres such as best sound design, most replay value, 
most innovative, etc.  We could add a few specialised categories like 
best action game, best card or board game, etc which would give some 
games a contest between games of same or similar type.
