Hi, Well, not really the Aztec swords were made of a finely sharpened obcidian material. Since it is made out of a stone material I don't see it breaking or shattering too easy. The edge might get dull from blunt trama, but I don't see that thing breaking unless you slam it up against another rock. Chopping up snakes, spiders, and even some bones isn't going to do a lot of damage to that sword. Even better it can't rust, and get week over time.
