I've tried out a few. Spellhurler is too weak melee wise, relies fully on magic and so therefore wouldn't be able to get anywhere in the later adventures. Trogg right now is the character I play as, he's basically perfect since he starts with a melee and stmina higher than is possible for you to roll as a random character, 36 melee, 40 stamina, and all characters now have access to magic thanks to the fifth proving grounds.
