I play for fun but I never do well. Since air is already coming up and supporting the puck, I don't see why a whistle couldn't be built right into the puck--a small hole on one side of the puck for the air to blow through, and on the other side a dip and slit type deal like on the mouthpiece of a recorder. It would still be a bit hard to localize the sound, but I think it would be doable.
