First of all, I'd say to you that the game is pretty excelent!
Then, I have a suggestion for the menu:
After giving a character family name to the player, the game asks "is this
ok?"
Then the player doesn't know how he can ansver yes/no.
What do you think about letting sapi say "is this ok? Hit y for yes or n
for now."
Or maybe you could make a dialogue where you can select the obtions with
the cursor keys.
