Hi tony.
If your looking for adventure type games, then you might definitely
want to check out the catagories on audiogames.net for gamebooks,
---- as well as the sites I mentioned such as Sryth.
For other games once you get direct X installed (which shouldn't be
too much of a problem at all), I can suggest trying Shades of Doom
from Gmahttp://www.gmagames.com/ (an action/exploration shooter
title), and Sarah from pcs. http://www.pcsgames.net/
I can also strongly recommend smugglers 3 and 4 from Nielsbaur
games. http://www.nielsbauergames.com/index.html These are scifi
trading and adventure stratogy games, --- which, though not intended
to be accessible, have proved extra compatible with screen readers,
---- and the creater of the games has also included compatibility
features when he found out the games worked.
I hope you enjoy them. Feel free to come back if you have any questions.

As I said Tony, try Jim Kitchin's games found at http://www.kitchensinc.net/
Download the winkit file first and install it. This will create an
environment for running Jim's games, ---- pluss install various components.
Jim's games range from self-voicing versions of classic games like
monopoly, to sports games, quizzes arcade action and racing games.
they also have the advantage of being A, free, and B, quite small
in size, so won't take too long for you to download on your dile up connection.
while your waiting, you could also try some brouser based games or
gamebooks on the internet, which may be played directly in
internet explorer, firefox or whatever web brouser your using,
just using your screen reader.
I'd particularly recommend sryth, www.sryth.commm, the fighting
fantasy project, http://www.ffproject.com/ and age of fable
http://www.apolitical.info/webgame/index.php?mode=0
You can also find many online games which require no downloads by
checking the database at www.audiogames.net, ---- just look for
gamebooks, and games listed as on the online platform.
hth.

Thanks Dark,
Well can you recommend one site and one specific game I can go to
and download and play emediately
before I get all of the framwork and directx downloaded?

Hi tony.
Not all games need the net framework, ---- and many require
different versions of direct X (though if you get the latest one
you'll be fine).
Any given game should tell you what you need on your pc to try it.
Many games can for example be run without the net framework,
---- I know this sinse for a while I couldn't get earlier
versions of net framework to run on my pc so was restricted in
my selection of games.
I suggest you give some of them a try, particularly those by
Bsc, Gma, lworks, Blind adrenaline and Draconis.

Subject: [Audyssey] FINALLY!!!!
thanks to some of you I am finally getting it. it would have
been fairly simple if in the begining someone had written and
said "you absolutely need direct x and the microsoft
framwork" and explained what they were Then told me where I
might locate them. I have a dialup connection so I am on my
third night of downloading the microsoft framwork because it is
so huge and I don't want to tie up my phone for 35 hours in a
row. As far as direct x I'll get that in one night but the
confusion could have all been avoided had someone given me
simple specific information and dirrections for what I
needed. I finally got enough pointers and the correct
direction, so thanks to those who helped. Well it is almost
done now and after this I should be ready to try some games,
maybe the ones I downloaded .
Thanks for your assistance
Tony
