Maybe this story from my past might help you find some perspective.
I use to be a professional massage therapist. In my early days in that
profession, I had 20 clients who absolutely loved my work. I then gave a
free treatment to a woman who I really liked and she absolutely hated my
style of massage. For the next few months, I believed I was the worst
massage therapist in the world. What that one woman believed was more
important to me than what my 20 regular clients believed. It took my
best friend pointing this out to me, multiple times, before I was able
to accept that some people are not going to like what I do, no matter
what. Also, while I was focused on what the woman believed, my work
suffered a little because my enjoyment in doing the work was not there.
MOTA is coming out to be a great game. Do the kind of work you are
passionate about and your passion will translate in to great games which
people will enjoy. And remember, some people are not happy unless they
have things to complain about.
