true however I do know that yahoogroups does check to see if you are subscribed.
the spam message is not origional you can get stories for this on the net I 
just tried to search for such and there are a lot.
email addresses and names are not hard to obtain, in fact email addresses are 
quite public as well as names because you register everywhere, no biggy.
over that though, in the header you need to have things like the program you 
use for email, and extra stuff from various previders.
so unless you stripped stuff out just before it was sent, but thats almost 
impossible.
