Yeah, but Why is it wurth to create a game engine when Philip is creating one?. Ok Thomas, I will not want you to get angry or upset at this question, because I only want to know the reason.

Best of luck,
Muhammed.

Hi Jacob,
Absolutely. That is why I am currently engaged in creating a full
fledged game engine. I want to have a starting place for developing
new games where all the really basic stuff like sound, input, speech,
core classes, you name it are designed and ready to go. With some luck
all I'd have to do is use my level editor to add new levels, perhaps
upgrade the AI as needed, and I'd be on my way quick enough. Hopefully
after MOTA is done and out of my hair my future projects won't take as
long as I'll have a reasonable engine to start with.

Cheers!

I'll just say that I have most of my experience in different versions of
basic, until nowadays when primarily work in C#, but I primarily just work on database integration/manipulation, but the one thing have always done is build components I can reuse for different aspects, so if a specific task is
something that will get used in more than one aspect, the first time you
need it, you take a bit more time to make it more reusable, and that means that in future you can just plug and play with it, and thereby save future
development time.

Stay well
