Fair enough tom.

well in that case I won't mind missing it too much, ---- and maybe someone like Ryan smith could do an accessible online battleships game with modable sound to replace it one day.

Beware the grue!

Hi Dark,
More or less. The major difference between the two is Accessible Star
Fight had an online pvp mode and a chat program you could use. It was
a novel idea for the time, but is based on DirectPlay 8 which was
discontinued quite a long time ago. I'm not even sure if it comes with
Vista and Windows 7 although it might be there simply as legacy
support for DirectX 8 applications. I do know it disappeared from the
DirectX SDK four maybe five years ago.
Anyway, Star Fight had that feature, used prerecorded files of
Eloquence, where Jim's Starship Battleship game uses Sapi 5 instead.
So other than those differences the are basically one and the same
game as far as game play goes.

Ah, so the game was essentially like jim's battle starship? in which case,
more creddit to him for keeping the concept going.
