Hi David. I had here another problem that might be interesting to talk
about!
I was playing sapi voice, and after around 10 minutes of play the sapi
simply stopped talking!
It happened already 3 times and I have the impression that it was when I
pressed spacebar in order to give order to the unit do skip the action in
the turn!

Actually last year my computer did get a virus, ---- which was entirely my
fault for opening a dodgy E-mail. I downloaded and installed the demo of
avg, which solved the problem so neetly I've now got the full
version, ---- just in case.
So, unless it's a very! persistant virus indeed, not even in that
circumstance would I reformat.
Beware the grue!

Shaun, I agree on very big things. Such as a trojen horse ran in to your
computer. Then reformat for other big problems. This ain't a big problem.

hmmm well I have had badly behaved systems.
this includes the first and second windows desktops and the second and
third laptops even my 4th laptop had some issue.
the latest desktops we have and the laptop I have now not so much.

Personally, I think I've only ever reformatted a machine once, and that
only when it was being given to someone else to use. i've occasionally
ran into user account shinanigans, ---- but at most these just mean
deleting one account and creating another, not reformatting at all.
Generally i've found a good antivirus and occasional use of utilities
like C cleaner have kept my machine running without a hitch, ---- in
fact mostly I've only ever changed machines when the hardware actually
broke down, as happened with my old desktop in august of 2008, ----
though it had been used pretty extensively every day for was 4 years, so
I didn't mind too much (all my important stuff is backed up on an
external harddrive anyway, --- -sinse if I lost my thesis I'd be in
pretty serious trouble, ---- not to mention having lots of games, books
and music I want to keep as well).

yeah sometimes I have conflicts with my computer.
then you show it your fist, its called reformat.
if you have a good computer it doesn't get that far you just have to
think of doing that and it behaves.
