Hi Jim, Shrug. Like I said I've been moderating the list for several years plus did my own tech support for SAPI when some of my games used it and it seamed to me a lot of people had broken SAPI installs. I don't have any statistics, but I always felt the number of prblems with were unusually high. As for Vista and Window 7's not liking self-extracting zip files that is just the security restriction. You need admin rights to install or extract anything to a secured location.
