I agree. And it's not as though we were using any profanity when we
suggested it. That of course would have been another matter but simply
suggesting that they read the manual? I don't think so.

What exactly is impolite about refering someone to look at the User's
Guide? That is a vary valid suggestion, and often times some gamers
have questions because they failed to do any reading before firing up
the game for the first time.As a developer it has been my experience
that some gamers immediately start up the game, play it a while, have
questions, and instead of looking in the User's Guide they go straight
to the mailing lists. It is something of an annoyence to a developer
to spend hours writing, editing, and preparing the documentation only
for some gamers to ignore it, and ask the developer how to play the
game when the answer is right there installed on their computer.
