Indeed that is ridiculously shallow! Its more than that. I was playing sf Iv today with a sighted mate, and chaos ensued. Enfact, I beat him more than he beat me, even though he played it in his own time as well!

In Soul Blade, every character had a ten-hit combo just like Tekken, kinda too bad they did away with that- although in truth, those combos were mostly good for showing off only. One thing with Soul Calibur is that it's actually relatively newbie friendly- anyone can pick it up, figure out the buttons, and start having fun without having to learn complicated joystick motions. I remember how I demonstrated to my girl how in SC3, when fighting at normal difficulty in story mode, one can actually win the game by using just the pad and one button if one gets the timing down. My elder brother once said that 'Soul series sucks cause it's all about you hit me, I block, I hit you, you block, see who hits first,' lol, I think that was a rather shelow view of the game- but again, he could never beat me on it so there ya go.
