I noticed that too, no one is eating at the tavern when I check.
To make that key more useful, could you have it report who ate at the tavern
in the past hour, plus who is eating presently.
Or it could list those sitting at the tavern but not able to eat because the
cook is sick or not available.

Chris, the reason you probably don't notice people eating at the tavern much
anymore is because a handful of versions ago I drastically shortened the
amount of time it takes for people to eat while At the tavern. Because they
aren't actually in there long, it is less likely you will be checking on the
exact tick, or ticks, that someone is in there.
