If certain features are required that are only available available in 
current builds
then these will be documented. Any additional packages need to support 
any differences
between SXCE or SXDE can added on needs basis. It is possible that we 
check during
the install process to see if certain packages are already installed. If 
not the installer can
download and install the package during the installation.

I think any installation should support both. Anything missing is a bug!
