For my EURO 0.02 I'd say that keeping shrink and grow separate seems the safer
option.
grow-disk is safe in so much as if you do it accidentally you only loose a
little space on your cluster.
Shrink however is extremely dangerous since doing it by mistake will cost
you all data in the instance being shrunk.
