Not sure what Ganeti version you are using, but that hack won't work in
2.13 or later (at least not without gnt-cluster verify complaining.). In
2.13 the handling of SSH keys was changed significantly and now needs more
than just keys and authorized_keys files.
Making that option runtime-configurable is doable, but not trivial, since
it must be followed immediately by a renew-crypto operation for the cluster
to continue to work properly.
