Besides templating and caching, the "look and feel" of the older could be accomplished through templating, but they probably couldn't exist in the same directory. That being said, nothing stops you from dropping a copy of the old UI code elsewhere, since it uses the same gmetad data source. I have run the old Ganglia web interface at the same time as the new one -- they just have to be in different directories.
