At last, there IS a free software based fully functional
and fine OPERATIONG SYSTEM INDEPENDENT UML-tool available:

http://bouml.free.fr/
B
It can do round-trip engineering and generate very nice,
HTML-documentation that seems to have almost
the same quality as Doxygen has. It's also FAST, because
it uses Qt. OK, the code generating part is a bit
tricky to figure out, the menu selection that can be used
for selecting the folder, where the codes will be generated,
is at the rootlevel of the "drawing objects hierarchy", but
if I exclude this one exception, then usually the screen
messages are prety helpful.

Currenty the BOUML seems to be even better than Sparx Systems
UML-tool, at least it "reverse-engineers" in a more sensible fashion
and doesn't crash. One day that project might become something like
the Doxygen, at least the choice of technologies(C++, Qt) has been
done thoughtfully, the GUI is almost-easy to understand and the
aplication is also fast. I even don't know, what else could I ask from
an UML-tool, it's so complete already.

And YES, IT'S under
GGGGG PPPPPP LLLLLL !!!!! :-)

Regards,
Martin Vahi

PS. As a fan of Gaphor, I was just thinking that I'll let the others
know. I found out about BOUML totally
accidently from one forum, between lines
of a relatively huge passage. May be the BOUML would make a real
impact, if developers from other, less complete, UML-projects would unite.
