Well, I don't know, I believe that You are right. I've heared
that the Qt has also someting to do with database abstraction, but
one way or another, Qt is GPL, so if it's  technically feasible, then
any part can be taken from it without taking the rest of the Qt
along. After all, that's what most of the freedom compatible licenses
are about, right? ;-)

Easy for me to say, as I'm not going to code that, I'm just a
freerider on that ride. :-D
