That was a little bit what I was suggesting in my beginner's way a while ago in the "lisp and application localization": something coming directly from Lisp, accessible from Lisp and with Lisp tools to provide easy localization. Which is also the reason why I asked earlier in this thread is TexInfo had any Lisp specific feature that would make it a format of choice. This format would of course be used for GUI and documentation and in both case would easily be converted to XLIFF so that non lisp users could use "industry standards" based tools to help localize Lisp applications. I'm really sorry if I don't express myself in terms that make sense to most of you guys :) When I'm done with Peter's book though (just sent the order) eventually I'll get better !!!
