Steve,

Sorry for the long hiatus, but the deadline for one of the conferences
I'm trying to get into was extended until the 1st of February and I've
been frantically trying to compile all of my thoughts, data, etc. in
time.

As for your question, I'm basically just using standard CL. My
research is mainly on trying to find ways to improve one of the more
popular SI algorithms--namely, Marco Dorigo's Ant Colony Optimization
(ACO) algorithm--by adding elements of evolution to the mix. So, for
this particular research, extra libraries and so forth are not really
needed.

Thanks for the interest, I do enjoy talking about my research. And,
Paolo, when I have some good results (once again, keep fingers
crossed) I'll be sure to publish my code to the Common Lisp Directory.
