I notice the Popular Science article says the gas may be "funneled to a nearby
generator" and in the Power of Garbage it says "the gas in turn powers either a
generator or a boiler".
The unit is a container size gasifier only and not a complete power station.
Seems to me that $850,000 is a lot of money since it does not include a
generator, boiler or turbine, cooling tower or power station (grid tie in and
allignment) controls. And for the most part, the gas it makes cannot be stored.
