Get off my shoulder, Tinkerbelle's. The offense was punished during the
game.

Coach Meyer didn't even mention it during the highlight show today. And the
punt-after-the-TD was erased from the reel. But all the highlights I have
seen on ESPN yesterday and today showed it :-)

I agree that the kickoff rule doesn't make sense - but if we tried to do it
on purpose we'd probably not get the call.

I think Spikes built up enough "equity" in the game that the indiscretion
will be forgiven.

First, concerning the rule about catching a kickoff out of bounds:

Should we teach our players to try to have one foot out of bounds whenever
the ball is close to the sideline? I think the rule is stupid. The ball
would definitely have come down in bounds.

Second, has anyone heard if Spikes will pay any consequence for kicking the
ball out after scoring on the interception?

Jerry
