Former Vol Ramar Smith surrenders to police

Knox County Jail Officer Betty Shelton told The Associated Press that the 22-year-old Smith turned himself in early Thursday on a charge of aggravated robbery. He was later released on $15,000 bond.
According to court records obtained by The Knoxville News Sentinel, the victim told police Smith was at his apartment to buy marijuana.
The victim told police while he was talking with Smith, another person entered the apartment with a gun. Records accuse the pair of taking $6,000 in cash and a half pound of marijuana.
