I listen at reasonable levels, Leon. No live concert volumes these days.
However, I'm sure there is permanent damage from blasting electric
guitar amps, lawn mowers and weed wackers, among other things. Don't
crank the Marshall quite as loud as I used to---when you get older, it's
not good for the police to come to your house for noise---but it's
plenty loud enough!

Yes, I remember the system and talking with you about it at the park a
few years back. Pleas PM me the details of the speakers and
amplification if you don't mind. I recently spent some time here with
Norman Thagard who has a quite impressive system. Recently upgraded from
nice electrostats to the B&W802's. He's running the old 1960ish Citation
II's star grounded differential mode---4 per channel wired in series
parallel. It's an awesome sight and sounds great too. I'm a bit more on
the budget side. B&W Matrix 803's for mains, Bryston 4B-ST amp, Rotel CD
player, Yamaha surround receiver acting as a preamp---sounds great.
Lot's of DIY acoustic treatment; a must along with correct speaker
placement. Then there's all the other equipment for surround sound,
which I rarely use anymore.

Witnesses did claim to have seen stars, so you may be right.

I'm a bit into the stereo bug, but with a twist. I enjoy building my own
speakers, but mostly with the goal of creating portable stereo systems
that run off a 12 volt battery but have very good fidelity and are
rugged enough to take anywhere. Our first Gatornet Picnic was an
example; in the middle of a state park, we had "The Orange and Blue
March" blasting.

With the whole rig set up (there's a secondary amp that controls remote
satellite speakers that I can hand from trees), I can light up a few
acres with a wall of sound that will run off a good boat battery for
about 12 hours.

My passion is more towards 60s and 70s rock and pop, especially album
cuts ("Grey Seal" by Elton John) or songs that were hits at the time
(like "Helen Wheels" by Wings) but are no longer played on Oldies or
Classic Rock stations. I love "Brown Eyed Girl," but have heard it about
1,000 times too often. Why not throw in "Tupelo Honey" every now and
then radio stations? BTW, has anyone hear Roberta Flack's cover of
"Bridge Over Troubled Water?" Good stuff.

I thought the opposite---as you obviously blocked the sun from view.
Hey, I know you are into wine, but is the stereo bug on you as well?

The photos never developed.

Turned out the film was overexposed.

Yup. Can't believe the Florida Bar let you in. I'm calling them now. I
hear there are photos of you streaking as well. ;-)
