I am absolutely proud of Cam Newton. We recruited him to be a Gator and he became one. If we had wanted him to remain a Gator, we would have kept him.
We didn't. I'm glad he's doing well. A. Leon Polhill, Gator "I was gratified to be able to answer promptly, and I did. He "cherry picked" his JUCO--one that he could step in and start right away;then he could pick and choose a D1 school as the transfer rules are different in regards to junior college.Auburn stepped in a 'gave' him what he wanted.
