We flew in and out of Vancouver when we went to Whistler a few years ago.
We made our reservations so we could stay a few days in Vancouver visiting
some friends of mine. It was fun... but I still wouldn't want to live
there. ;-)
I admit it... I never want to live anywhere but Florida. Jax for now... but
back to Mecca one of these days.

Our route to visit them is to fly into either Seattle or Vancouver and
rent a car. They live 12 hours north of Vancouver in Houston, BC.
Obviously, we haven't been up there yet. We're waiting for them to get
in-door plumbing and electricity. (just kidding)

I like Vancouver better than Seattle, but only for visits and only at

I have nothing against Seattle. I've never been there, but I guess I've
always assumed it is frigid there in the winter because it is far north. I
was mainly just jabbing at Stacey, and since she never read it, it now
seems moot.
So... I'm not a Seattle hater. Someday, I will most likely get a chance
to see it when I visit my son in Canada.

I don't know if you have ever spent any time in Seattle, but it is one of
the very few places on the West Coast that I would consider living. It
is
very clean, the weather is fantastic year round, the traffic is very well
planned, and the food is fantastic. Because of the sea currents, the
climate is very mild in spite of its Northern latitude. For example, the
highs this week are in the mid to high forties, while the lows are only
39.
