I am cautiously optimistic... Neither UT or UGA seem to have any defense whatsoever... I think our D, once the issues are fixed, can keep us in the games. It will be up to the offense to take advantage of their porous defenses, and that will truly show where our offense is. I truly believe that if Roper was given the full reigns, we would have more success.
I also believe Driskel should have a short leash. He is the tale of two quarterbacks-- I don't need him to be great, I just need him not to suck. How can QBs at Florida struggle so mightily and then succeed at other schools? Will Muschamp - I don’t see how Muschamp survives. The Florida team that played in Tuscaloosa didn’t just lose. They just looked bad. Worse, they looked like a poorly coached team, and they looked that way last year even given the injury situation. It wasn’t just offense either. The Defense, which is Muschamp’s forte, looked terrible. Plus Florida most likely has at least 4 more losses on their schedule and maybe as many as 6. I don’t see how any coach at Florida can survive that. IMO barring some miracle turn-around Muschamp is already done. To have even a remote shot, Muschamp has to beat Tennessee on 10/4. If they lose to UT in Knoxville, Muschamp might not make it to the end of the year. I think a lot of the most influential people down there have already moved on from Muschamp, and are just waiting till the end of the year so that they can start over.
