UF never even interviewed Frost. There was a contingent that came to Orlando to talk to him and he refused to meet with them.
As to why would the assistant lie? I would say because it makes Nebraska look good and possibly creates an recruiting advantage in Central Florida... The bigger question is, why would she assistant know the details of the search? This story is pure fan fodder for the cornholes.
