well done rahul. I m in london where i really don t need to hide. however,being from a caribbean origin, it was hard for me to assume my sexuality. I was hidding.I lied a lot. I ws not myself.The pressure was too much. I could no longer hold it. This was affecting my mental health. Therefore , i came out to my friends, my close friends. It took them a while to get used to the idea.Eventually they did. Now i m fully accepted, and I feel free .
By saying it , i made it more acceptable for me and for my close friends. by saying it , there view has changed. by saying it , they understand better. I can be who i really am. I m not shouting it on the roof but the people i really care about know. It changed my life a lot and their life too. Nowadays, if i m asked the question " are you gay ? " i give them a straight "yes ".because i believe that if they ask ,it s because they v thought about it and are ready to hear it. tHe moral of this story is that if one wants to be free , be yourself. Accept who you are for yourself first. Learn how to love yourself then the people who you care about and who care about you will love you. you don t have to shout it, but say it. cheesy but true.
