There are volumns written on this topic, and the conclusions of everything written will depend upon the authors presuppositons. Today, most Scientists and Medical and Psycholigical communities believe that it is genetic, with perhaps some smattering of socializaton including rewarding/unrewarding sexual experiences and social and envornmental.
I myself have had enjoyable sex with women and more enjoyable sex with men. I like both but I prefer men. I have freinds who would actually get really upset with the thought of having sex with a woman to the point of throwing up. I also have friends who the though of having sex with a man would also result in repulsion. Genetics I think is the best answer. But who knows tomorrow there might be a new theory.
