Superb post! Thanks for taking the time to share this with everyone. Most gay men in India are married, in my opinion, present company not included. It is always an eye-opener, though, to realize that so many gay men even in very liberal societies are married.
It just shows how difficult it is to buck family pressures to get married, even if the society at large seems liberal enough. Even though I was able to withstand the pressure, I fully empathize with my married friends on this forum, and understand how difficult it must have been for them to resist marriage. In the Indian context, a woman who does find out that her husband is gay will probably have no choice but to continue in the marriage, except perhaps in some major metropolitan areas. I for one see no reason for a married gay man in India, having taken the decision to marry (right or wrong), to rock the boat by coming out to his wife.
