I undertand the reason for the --with-host-libstdcxx option.  The documentation

for --with-host-libstdcxx doesn't say anything about the side effect of

changing the LINKER from $(CXX) to $(CC).  It is that effect that I believe is

undesirable, especially given the change of GCC's implementation language from

C to C++.
