Internal library error, segfault, ... ? If it is an internal error, you could compile everything with -g (including the external libraries), start under a debugger, then set a breakpoint at _gfortrani_internal_error, and then run. A backtrace could be quite illuminating. Similar for a segfault - run under a debugger and look at a backtrace.
