--- Comment #8 from Iain Sandoe <iains at gcc dot gnu.org> --- I don't profess to grok the intracecies of combine, but ISTM that the stored indirection needs the moral equivalent of "used", or else it should surely be a candidate for removal. After all, that's a useful optimisation in other cases.
