Law <law at gcc dot gnu.org> --- Even if we're going to drop m68k due to lack of LRA support, if ext-dce is doing something wrong, it's still worth debugging & fixing as it likely affects other ports. And note this is the second issue bisect to what was supposed to be a NFC change :( Ugh. And you never know, maybe someone will come along and enable LRA on the m68k. I think one of the bugbounty folks that worked on the cc0 transition also had bits to enable LRA. So it may not be a huge lift if we can find those old bits...
