Confirmed. It is an old bug that affects all gfortran versions since at
least gcc-7.
The issue is triggered by the BLOCK construct. The dump-tree suggests that
a decl for S1_POINTER is lost or not generated.
I think I've seen at least one other PR with the same pattern.
