Further clarification. On the OpenCoarrays side, Issue 779 is tracking changes
to keep OpenCoarrays compatible with ongoing changes to gfortran-16. This is
due to how gfortran interfaces to the respective mpi or shared memory related
libraries.
I suggest we keep this PR in place until the revised OpenCoarrays is released
which depends on the gcc 16 release.
