I think so, too, but I guess I was too timid to assume such a change might be acceptable. If the maintainers would go along with that, I'd have no problem revising the patch to make -g1 do line tables and inline info. (I guess I'd have to add -gmlt as an alias for -g1 on the google/main branch for compatibility, though -- not that that's a big deal.) -cary
