need help with a g77 compile error

[drowlett902--- via Gcc]

I have been using  g77 fortran for years  with no problems.  Now when I
compile with "g77 prog.f",  I get the following error --->    ld: cannot
open -lg2c:  No Such File or Directory.   Can someone Hel me please?
