Yes, but this problem is not only between MPFR and GMP. Even if MPFR
chose the GMP rules, there would be problems with other software. I
don't know any software other than GMP that chooses an ABI different
from the default one, and I think that's the reason why when GMP is
built by ports/packages, the ABI is changed back to the default one
(well, this seems to be the general case).
