It appears that when new OGR geometries are created using the spatial operations features of GEOS via OGR methods like ConvexHull, Buffer, etc. that the spatial reference of the newly created OGR geometry is not assigned. Is this by design or is it an oversight? If by design, what was the reasoning? I'm using 1.8.1.
