Please check that you really have Firefox installed. As I know, on Ubuntu. Firefox 3.0.15 is called Shiretoko and is not "exact" FF (some licensing issues between FF and Ubuntu). But all was solved for FF 3.5, so you can try and upgrade to FF 3.5.
Also, make sure you run the 32 bits version of FF.
