Geary failed when attempting to do STARTTLS. Have you tried with SSL
instead?
It's possible you're seeing something similar to
http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/7454 However, when I attempted to
connect to that server, I was able to, so I'm not sure it's the same
problem.
