When I do feed worms, I use little plastic water bowls. All of my geckos and
lizards eventually figured out the concept (getting from point A to point B,
where the food is!)

That could be, but unless there's a huge size difference, they usually work
it out themselves. You may have to feed an extremely shy or timid one
separately for a while at first.

They probably wouldn't mind that much - food is food! But I wouldn't bother
with it unless you absolutely had to, in case it stresses them.
