In addition to the egg cartons, put some of the cardboard cylinders from inside toilet paper or paper towels in the bin. It's easy to pick them up and shake the crickets into a liter (quart) deli carton without any escaping. If necessary, shake out some of the egg cartons so the crickets take cover in the rolls.
