Hello Neil, Last week I was called over to the soil sciences dept. on campus because someone had seen a "poisonous snake" in a large shipment of peat moss from Florida. After digging through 40-50 gallons of peat I found about 20 wood roaches, 5 snails, and 1 S.E. 5-lined skink. No snake, but I was impressed at the number of critters that had made the journey north.
