I would actually prefer to do password based access even though it is
a little annoying.  Plus when using ssh-agent you will only have to
type your password once.  If it turns into a hassle, then I might
consider public key access.

Also, people who have write access currently, will also get it to the
git repository.  I'm really not interested in having a free-for-all
for git write access.  That has historically not worked out well.
